Today I write about the my summer vacation. I went to Cairns in Australia alone to study English for two weeks.I went to abroad for the first time so I was very nervous. But It was really fun. I made many friends. I went shopping with my friends. I bought many clothes, snacks. Even the supermarket was fun. I was surprised that there were so many kinds of snacks. The most surprising thing to me was seeing people eat products before they had even paid for them. I was able to experience a culture that doesn’t exist in Japan. Through this study abroad experience, I was able to have a valuable experience, and it also increased my motivation to study English.

Adapting to different ways of dealing with uncertainty The people you meet might respond to uncertainty differently than you. Consider seeing things from their point of view and adapting a little. Nicole tried to make plans to meet for coffee in advance, Susan sounds uninterested, but she never gives her definite answers. Her behavior really annoys Nicole. With people who don’t mind uncertainty … Remember that you can learn a lot from the unknown and the unfamiliar. Show flexibility. For example: For me, either way is fine. Let me know what you’re comfortable with. With people who avoid uncertainty … Offer details when making decisions. Provide a context with background information. For example: The reason I do it this way is… Let me explain why (I’m doing this). Show you understand the importance of structure and plans. This summer vacation, I went to Korea with my family. It was the first time for me to get on an airplane, so I felt very excited and a little nervous. In Korea, I went to an idol’s live concert. I love it. I shouted and sang along too much, so my voice became very sore the next day. I also tried some Korean food like tteokbokki and kimchi. They were very delicious, but also very spicy, and the spiciness made my throat hurt even more. Even though my voice was painful, I really enjoyed the trip and I want to go to Korea again in the future.
