It's overcast today, and according to the Chinese calendar, it is the winter solstice. As expected, it's very cold outside. People celebrate this occasion in various ways. Most families have a big feast together, while some choose to have a cookout. However, there are some traditions I don't particularly enjoy, such as the firing of firecrackers. Instead of the usual slow-paced manner, they ignite them rapidly and suddenly. It can be quite overwhelming, resembling a war zone for a few seconds with the loud bangs happening all around. Nevertheless, I want to wish you a happy Winter Solstice!
