ESSAY (please correct me ) How to Teach History at Primary Schools? Studying history at a young age would help children to have a better comprehension of the present in matters of diversity, development, and behavior. The teaching of this subject at primary schools is relatively new (1991), but its importance has been demonstrated to be vital. Therefore, training teachers in different ways to teach it and get their pupils engaged must be a priority. The first thing to have in consideration is that the standard approach to the study of history could be too tedious for children. Then, other ways have to be applied in order to maintain their attention. For example, the use of short stories adapted to their age and based on historic events could be as fun as it is educational. In addition, this way could allow a great deal of content. Another approach could be to do school excursions  (visits to museums, monuments, ancient ruins, etc.). Since this would be more memorable than reading a book or listening to a lesson and it would last in the memories of the pupils maintaining their eagerness to learn history. Although,  it could waste too much time on trips. In conclusion, history must be taught at primary schools with methods that suit the necessities of children. In this essay, I have exposed two different ways to achieve that. Having all the points considered, I prefer to apply the story-telling method because it would be better in both content and  practicability.

It was a sunny day. At lunchtime, I decided to have the lasagna my mom had bought before. Unlike the other frozen food, I like this one. As usual, I put one into the oven and set the timer. After twenty minutes passed, to my surprise, it looked watery, like a heap of melted... something. What? How could my lasagna have melted? Yucky! I then wasted another one by baking it at another spot in the oven for twenty minutes again, only to find it in the same state in that tragic tinfoil tray, like a mysterious soup! I courageously tried a little of it which no one should have, and of course it tasted soggy and strange. Not really rancid, but maybe it was halfway spoiled? But how? It was far from its expiration date and had been properly stored in the freezer. Strange things were happening.
